These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Mollecule website, products, and related services. By browsing, purchasing, or submitting a researcher registration request, you agree to these Terms.

Research use only

All products are sold strictly for in-vitro research, laboratory experimentation, and educational purposes. Products are not intended for human or veterinary use, consumption, clinical application, or any use that would cause them to be regulated as drugs, devices, or food. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and institutional policies. See our Research Use Only Policy and FDA Disclaimer.

Eligibility

You represent that you are at least 21 years of age (or the age required by our age gate), and that you are purchasing for legitimate research purposes on behalf of yourself or an organization authorized to conduct such research. We may request business details (including business name, EIN, and research field) and may refuse or cancel orders that appear inconsistent with research use.

Accounts and registration

If you create or request a researcher account, you must provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, inaccurate information, or policy violations.

Orders, pricing, and payment

Product descriptions, pricing, and availability may change without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, or cancel orders (including after payment authorization) if we suspect fraud, policy violations, or fulfillment issues. Payment is processed through Shopify and our payment providers.

Shipping and returns

Shipping timelines, risk of loss, and return eligibility are described in our Shipping and Returns Policy. Title and risk of loss generally pass upon delivery to the carrier, unless otherwise required by law.

Intellectual property

Site content, branding, product imagery, and documentation are owned by Mollecule or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit site materials without prior written permission, except for personal research reference limited to your internal use.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use products for human or veterinary administration or consumption
• Misrepresent your identity, institution, or research purpose
• Violate laws, export controls, or third-party rights
• Interfere with site security or attempt unauthorized access
• Resell products in a manner that implies human use or medical claims

Disclaimers

Products and site content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Research outcomes depend on your protocols, equipment, and handling. Certificates of Analysis and third-party testing, where provided, relate to the tested batch attributes and do not constitute medical or clinical claims.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mollecule and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or research materials, arising from your use of the site or products. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mollecule harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of products, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections apply. Courts located in San Diego County, California, will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms periodically. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
